Heather Rae El Moussais returning toSelling Sunsetfor season 10 — and things are going to be a little different this time around, she tells PEOPLE.
Fans of the real estate docusoap got the news today that not only has the show been renewed for another season, both El Moussa andChristine Quinnwill be returning to the series, Netflix shared in apress releaseon Wednesday, April 29.
El Moussa tells PEOPLE exclusively that she's come a long way since she left the show after season 7, and fans should expect to see a different version of her in season 10.
“Being part ofSelling Sunsetthe first time around gave me so much. It's where people first really got to know me, and I felt like there was more of my story to tell. The version of me returning is very different from the one who left,” she says.
Since stepping away from the series, El Moussa has welcomed her now-3-year-old son Tristan with husband Tarek El Moussa, and she alsolaunched her own beauty line, HRE Beauty.
“I'm coming back as a wife, a mom, a beauty founder and still bringing that same original spirit with me. The one that was about ambition and friendship and celebrating women, not tearing them down. I think that's what people fell in love with in the beginning, and I think there's real appetite for that again,” she adds.
Heather — who currentlystars on HGTV'sThe Flip Offalongside her husband and his ex-wife Christina Haack — was a full-time cast member onSelling Sunsetwhen it first premiered in 2019.
However, ahead of the show's eighth season, asource confirmedto PEOPLE in December 2023 that Heather would not be returning to the series. The HGTV star later revealed the streamerhad not called her back to filmseason 7 after her maternity leave ended.

Fans got a taste of what it would be like to have Heather back when shemade a brief cameo in season 9and had a sweet O Group reunion.
Despite herreasons for leaving the show, Heather said she's ready to return to the cutthroat industry and “not lose myself in it,” per the Netflix release.
“I'm calmer, more grounded, less reactive. I know what I want, and I'm not afraid to say it,” she said. “I want people to see the full picture of who I am now. Not just the dramatic moments, but the real life I've built.”
She's also ready to confront any issues left unresolved with her fellow O Group agents after she left the show.

“There are conversations that got cut short. I'm also not going to pretend things didn't happen,” she added. “Obviously, when you put a group of women with big personalities in a room together, there's going to be tension. That's just reality, but it's how you handle those differences that define the dynamic.”
Heather marked the news of her return to the series with a playfulInstagrampost on April 29, in which she can be seen giving O Group president Jason Oppenheim a call before saying, “Jason, it's time. I'm back.”
The scene then cuts to Heather walking towards the famous L.A. office before she opens the doors and steps inside.
